The Credit Union Home Loan Offers Savings And Convenience
Defined Tag: Credit Union Home Loan. A credit union is a financial cooperative that offers many banking services to its members, including the credit union home loan. You can get a loan for almost any purpose from your credit cooperative, such as remodeling your home, buying a new house, buying a new car, or refinancing existing high interest loans. Like any housing loan, your chances of approval increase if you have a good credit history and a high credit score, a secure job, and minimal debt. Furthermore, applying for such a loan assumes that you are a member of the union. Most cater to specific groups or professions, called a field of membership, Select Employee Group (SEG), common bond, or bond of association, depending on where in the world you live. You can apply for a home loan from your "thrift bank" by making an appointment, and sitting with a loan specialist while you complete a written application. You should receive a decision in an hour or less in some cases whether or not your real estate loan was approved. You could either wait at the banking concern's offices, or have your loan specialist call you at home. If the lending union loan department pre-approved you for a home loan, that is not a guarantee of approval. Rather, it indicates that the union bank considers you a good risk for a loan, and this is their way of telling you so. If the financial cooperative does not approve your home loan application, you can discuss the reasons with them. There may be some aspects of your financial situation that you can correct and increase your chances for approval. The alternative is to apply online for a new house loan through the website of your local union. This is more convenient, as it can be done from home, and submitted safely and security to your thrift union's loan department for review. Unions have online banking services as varied and sophisticated as the major banks, and are not still in the Dark Ages as some uninformed consumers think. Consumers uninformed about these financial unions simply don't give them the, well, "credit" that they deserve. These financial cooperatives have banking services that rival their bank competitors, both offline and online. If you need to borrow cash to buy a house, a credit union home loan should be one of your first stops. Copyright 2008 by Doug Smith. All Rights Reserved Worldwide.
